Rhythm & Dance
Modern tap dancing is a uniquely American art form, blended from the cultural traditions of Africa, Ireland and America. This performance includes a demonstration of how tap steps are put together and an opportunity for selected audience members to “trade eights.” From Appalachian clogging to the Hoofer’s Club in New York City, this lively performance will get your toes “a-tappin” while students learn an important history lesson.

About American Feet
American Feet is the tap dancing duo of Kim Miller and Annie Scheumbauer. Kim has been teaching all levels of tap dancing since 1989 and continues to study with many of today's master instructors. She currently teaches at Washington University, DaySpring School of the Arts and other locations throughout the area. Annie Scheumbauer has been performing traditional American music and dance for many years. She has studied Irish dancing, tap and clogging. She founded and choreographed the clogging groups The Wild Goose Chase Cloggers (MN) and The Shoe Fly Cloggers (St. Louis). American Feet is accompanied by blues guitarist and drummer, Tim Albert.
