Rhythm & Dance

Modern tap dancing is a uniquely American art form, blended from the cultural traditions of Africa, Ireland and America. This performance includes a demonstration of how tap steps are put together and an opportunity for selected audience members to “trade eights.” From Appalachian clogging to the Hoofer’s Club in New York City, this lively performance will get your toes “a-tappin” while students learn an important history lesson.
