International Dance Festival
Eileen Gannon teachers Irish dance for one class to perform in the Annual International Dance Festival in the winter. A tradition for 25 years, Springboard's International Dance Festival features students from up to 10 schools performing a cultural dance representing countries including Ireland, Japan, Brasil and more.

About Gannon, Eileen
The daughter of Irish immigrants, Eileen Gannon began Irish dancing and playing Irish music at the age of three. Growing up, she spent summers in Ireland, getting acquainted with the culture and studying with Irish masters of music and dance. Eileen has a B.A. in from SLU in music performance and a Masters in ethnomusicology from the University of Limerick. She plays instruments such as the piano, fiddle, whistle, concertina, and harp. She is an instructor at St. Louis Irish Arts, whose mission is to promote and preserve traditional Irish music, song, and dance.
