Amazing Creatures NEW

Join veteran Zoo naturalist and living history performer, Dianne Moran as she engages students to join her on a journey of Missouri's frontier finest...wildlife and the early settlers who first encountered them! A large table of fascinating bio facts (animal skulls, skeletons, skins, teeth and preserved specimens) are identified by volunteers to the cheers of their classmates. Volunteers will have opportunities to help Dianne present a minimum of 5 live animals. Early settlers will be discussed and their impact upon our natural state.

About Moran, Dianne


Dianne Moran Dianne Moran is an award winning folklorist and naturalist who has taught audiences professionally for 37 years, including 23 years at the St. Louis Zoo. She lives deep in an Ozark forest where she is free to enjoy nature at its best. Her programs reflect her passion of history and include Mountain Dulcimer, relic displays, and live animals which serve as metaphors for her historic tales. Dianne tours the country with her living history programs and as a Chautauqua Scholar. She has produced numerous CDs, tapes, and videos.
