Upside Downside Inside Out NEW
Write! Stretch! Create! Clap! Share! Grow! Students in this residency experience the joy of moving with poetry, creating poems that "sizzle" and "pop"! All lessons begin with an interactive sharing of poems from the teaching artist's book, "Upside Downside Inside Out:
Poems About Being a Kid." As students travel through the writing process guided by the poet, they experiment with sound, shape, rhyme, and rhythm. The program culminates in a student performance of original poems. Participating classrooms receive a copy of Ms. Gage's book and a companion teacher's guide CD.
