Robert Jones employs rap music as a tool to increase student interest in language. Emphasizing the importance of a positive attitude and listening skills, Robert introduces the students to two original raps and activities that help them recognize nouns and verbs.

About Jones, Robert
“Bring fun to education,” is what Robert Jones repeats to himself. Authorities predict and plan the construction of penitentiaries based on third- and fourth-grade standardized test scores. This is an urgent matter to Mr. Jones. He has developed a series of programs that transform attitudes and grades in high-, junior high-, and grade-schoolers. Rob’s background is from the inner city. He has made his way through the perils of the street. Students readily relate to and identify with Rob as one of them. Rob is a music producer and has his own entertainment company. He is currently juggling his time between being a mentor to the youth single dad and his role in the city’s parks and recreation department.
