Voices of the American Dream: The Ellis Island Story NEW

What would cause thousands of people to give up a way of life, leaving their homelands and, sometimes, their family members behind to come to foreign shores? You will find out with Dianne Moran by dressing in turn of the century clothing, showing your personal documents to the bureaucrats and waiting as the commissioners decide your fate. Will you be allowed to stay in America or be deported back to your homeland? To remember your experiences, you will keep a journal and complete your personal family history on a parchment family tree.
