Haitian Dance and Song
Local dancer Kimberly Anderson takes the stage to bring Haitian dance to your students. Together, they discuss and practice the basic movement vocabulary of Haitian dance through warm-up exercises, rehearsals and performance. Students also gain a more complete understanding of the country's culture, history and its influence on worldwide cultural traditions.

About Anderson, Kimberly
Kimberly Anderson's love of Haitian folkdance has allowed her to teach and perform nationally and internationally. She has been teaching children and adults Haitian folkdance for 10 years. In 2007, she created Banyan Dance Theatre, whose mission is to share dances of the African Diaspora through traditional and non-traditional means of presentation.
