Talking Tap
Tapping feet are happy feet and your feet will keep the beat in this rhythmic residency with professional dancer Kim Miller. Packed with exercises in body percussion, scat singing and basic tap dancing steps, students will learn this rhythmic form of dance and the history of tap in America. By the end of the residency, students will show off their new techniques by performing a basic tap routine.

About Miller, Kim
Kim Miller received her bachelor of arts in art and art history from the University of Iowa. She has been teaching all levels of tap dancing since 1989 and continues to study with many of today's master instructors in the field of tap. Kim is an International Tap Association member and former representative for the state of Missouri. She is also a member of the St. Louis Juggling Club and the International Jugglers' Association. She has performed with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company in their production The Last Supper at Uncle Tom's Cabin/The Promised Land.
