Erika Harano (she/they) is a queer, mixed race, genderfluid, Japanese movement artist and facilitator who uses dance to explore complexity, emergence, interdependence, and relationships. Erika joined Consuming Kinetics Dance Company as a company artist and educator in 2019, and is deeply committed to youth leadership development and intergenerational artistry within the company.
Erika is a [design] educator who co-creates spaces to critically interrogate and shift dominant systems of power. they are a co-founder of the emerging worker cooperative Next World Teams, which focuses on supporting people and teams in anti-racism + anti-oppression work.
