Mel McCray is a woman who is passionate about the pursuit of life and real stories. She uses theatre and dance as her way of empathizing and sharing human experiences. She graduated with a BFA in Acting from Missouri State University in 2016. Since then, she has performed and worked closely with the St. Louis Black Repertory Theatre. She later began writing one-acts, choreographing, and teaching Musical Theatre at the Briley Performing Arts Company in Joplin, Missouri. She has led traveling interactive theatre workshops for pre-teens with Christ in Youth’s Superstart Team, and has recently toured and performed in the Taming of the Shrew with Stonesoup Shakespeare. Mel is currently an apprentice with CKDC and feels privileged to be able to hone and develop her artistry as a mover. She looks forward to continued opportunities for growth and is eager to share adventures with this new group of people.
